Baja California, Mexico

The Baja California peninsula is comprised of two Mexican states, Baja California and Baja California Sur. The peninsula stretches from Tijuana, at the San Diego border, to Cabo San Lucas at the southern tip of the peninsula. An intriguing diversity of terrain lies between: green valleys, rugged mountains, deserts, hot springs, pine forests, and thousands of wonderful beaches, many of them isolated and all but pristine. Baja boasts many resort cities, places like Rosarito and Ensenada on the Pacific shore and La Paz and San Felipe on the gulf shore.
Baja has modern cities like Tijuana and more traditional towns like Tecate, great historical buildings, such as the Mission of Santos Tomas De Aquino, now surrounded by vineyards and wineries, and the 280 room Rosarito Beach Hotel, a grand gambling casino in its early days, now a wonderful resort hotel with swimming pools, hot tubs, restaurants and a rich Mexican history. Whatever you pleasure, the wonderful climate, atmosphere, cities and towns of Baja California have something enticing to offer.
