The Seeing Eye – Creation Minute 8

The Seeing Eye Exhibit

seeing-eye-3

Have you ever thought about how complex the human eye is?

seeing-eye-collage-jp-1

The eye has many parts, such as the cornea, iris, lens, retina, optic nerve, and more. Our eye needed all its parts right from the beginning in order to function.

img_0028-e

It is what we could call, irreducibly complex.

For example: If we do not have the right amount of fluid pressure in the vitreous humor, we would experience glaucoma and blindness.

If our lens were cloudy, we would experience cataracts and the inability to see.

eye-a

Again, each part of the eye had to be in its proper place and fully functioning right from the beginning in order for us to see.

A seeing eye could not happen by blind chance!

seeing-eye-2-a

The evidence that the eye is designed is overwhelming and points directly to a creative eye-Maker. And that eye-Maker is God!

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see? Psalm 94:9

Way to go Mark Armitage!

Way to go Mark! If you haven’t heard the news, our friend and colleague Mark Armitage has won his lengthy legal battle against California State University Northridge, the university that terminated his employment shortly after he published his findings of dinosaur soft tissue. These soft tissues that Mark and other scientists are repeatedly finding in dinosaur bones have evolutionists in an uproar. For more information about the court case http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/29337/

softtissueimage-400x400

Soft tissue may refer to any of the tissue in an animal that connects, supports, or surrounds other structures and organs in the body, not being hard tissue such as bone. Soft tissue includes tendons, ligaments, skin, fibrous tissues, fat, muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. Did you know that soft tissue has been found in over 100 different dinosaur bone fossils? If these dinosaurs died out millions and millions of years ago, as evolutionists teach, how would this soft tissue remain intact for so long? Soft tissue in dinosaur remains is tremendous evidence that these dinosaur remains are only a few thousand years old at most, and so are the layers of the earth in which the dinosaur remains are found.

Here are some photos Mark sent us of the Triceratops horn at the dig site at the Hell Creek Formation in Montana.

Did you know that we actually have some of the soft tissue from the Triceratops horn on display right here in our museum! Mark graciously gave us the tissue along with pieces of the horn and frill from the Triceratops! The Creation and Earth History Museum is located at 10946 N Woodside Ave in Santee, CA Stop by and see them on display in our front lobby today!

2015 MUSEUM DAY GUEST SPEAKER LINE UP

wpf7afb74d_1aTom Cantor is also a successful Jewish businessman who came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the CEO & President of Scantibodies Laboratory, Inc., one of the largest privately held bio-tech companies in the world, represented on five continents.  In addition, Tom Cantor is the Founder of several non-profit organizations including the Life & Light Foundation and Israel Restoration Ministries, which focuses on reaching one of the most unreached groups in the world – God’s lost nation of Jewish people. He is also the owner of the Creation & Earth History Museum and radio host of the Friendship with God program.

wp75ac0076_01_1aDr. Jobe Martin has spent the last twenty years studying the topic of Biblical Creation vs. Evolution, and lectures frequently on the subject. He began his scientific career as a dentist, and a believer in Darwinian evolution, as he had been taught in numerous courses in high school, undergraduate school, and dental school. Some of his Christian students at the Baylor College of Dentistry challenged him to prove to them that evolution was a correct, complete and accurate explanation for the origin of the earth and all of its abundance of unique life forms. His Creation Proclaims DVD series is fascinating as he lectures on these remarkable animals that cannot be explained by traditional evolution.  www.biblicaldiscipleship.org

wp2bf4b33d_01_1aGifted by God in many ways, Buddy Davis is a speaker and singer/songwriter for AiG. He is an adventurer and paleo-artist, and he leads the very popular “Creation Adventure” children’s workshop at AiG conferences and at the Creation Museum. Buddy plays many acoustic instruments, and his music is enjoyed around the world. Buddy’s greatest adventure happened in the north of the Alaskan tundra (within the Arctic Circle) with his search for dinosaur bones. His exploration for Noah’s Ark took him to Mt. Ararat in Turkey. He has sculpted more than 60 impressive dinosaur models, many of which have found a new home in the Creation Museum. His work has been featured worldwide in newspapers, magazines, books, and on television. http://www.answersingenesis.org

wp99396fff_01_1aBrian Thomas received his bachelor’s degree in biology in 1993 and a master’s in biotechnology in 1999 from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas. He taught junior high and high school at Christian schools in Texas, as well as biology, chemistry, and anatomy as an adjunct and assistant professor at Dallas-area universities. Since 2008 Mr. Thomas has been a science writer and editor at ICR, where he contributes news and magazine articles, speaks on creation issues, and researches original tissue fossils. He is the author of Dinosaurs and the Bible and a contributor to Guide to Creation Basics, Creation Basics & Beyond, and Guide to Dinosaurs. www.icr.org

williams-jCreationist Col. Jeffrey Williams, NASA Astronaut. During his six months aboard the International Space Station in 2006, Colonel Jeffrey N. Williams orbited the earth more than 2,800 times and took more photographs of earth than any astronaut in history. Every shot contains lessons about God’s creation. Every view from the window of the Space Station contains countless vivid lessons about the meticulous goodness of divine providence, God’s care for His creation, and His wisdom in ordering the universe. Colonel Williams has had the rare privilege of studying earth from heaven’s perspective.

Eric-HovindEric Hovind grew up immersed in the world of apologetics and following college graduation in 1999, he began full-time ministry.  President and Founder of Pensacola-based organization, Creation Today, Eric’s passion to reach people with the life-changing message of the Gospel has driven him to speak in five foreign countries and all fifty states.  He lives in Pensacola, Florida with his wife Tanya and three children and remains excited about the tremendous opportunity to lead an apologetics ministry in the war against evolution and humanism.  Much like a 21st-century Apostle Paul on Mars Hill, in June of 2013, Eric stood on the first monument to atheism in America to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the atheist community. http://www.creationtoday.org

wp8ccda2c2_01_1aDr. Andy McIntosh retired from full time work at the University of Leeds, and is now a visiting research professor in Thermodynamics and Combustion Theory. Andy became a Christian in 1969 shortly before going to the University of Wales. He has authored the book “Genesis for Today” and has contributed to a number of others including most recently “Origins –examining the evidence” He has also contributed to TV and radio programs, to present the scientific evidence for creation and design, and lectures in many countries on the subject of origins showing that the science is in favour of special creation followed by the worldwide Flood, and that there is no contradiction between true observational science and the Bible.

Abortion: A Matter of Life or Death

All of the following images are taken directly from exhibits at the Creation & Earth History Museum in Santee, CA. The Insight Articles reproduced below are also offered at the museum and are freely available for download and reprint here: http://www.creationsd.org/insight-articles.html

Abortion– So much has been said about this issue, but somehow its never enough. This is an issue of such enormity and gravity that it is almost an understatement to call if a matter of life and death. This is quite literally the matter of the death of more than 58 million babies in the United States and more than 1,300,000 wordwide! So understandably, this article will not be brief.

Before we can even begin to understand how such an atrocious thing is being perpetrated so casually among us, we must first ask the question; how did we get here? How as a nation has the United States gotten to the point where it approves of the killing of unborn babies? How have we and many other nations across the world become consenting unto clinically conducted murders of the most innocent members of all of humanity?

These are the consequences of a path of reasoning that has spread across the entire globe more thoroughly than any other plague in history. This is the end result of an evolutionary and atheistic mentality; a mentality in which the idea that this present physical life, void of any real spirituality, void of God, and ultimately void of any eternal accountability, is all there is.

Consequences of an evolutionary and atheistic worldview

The stark reality of the consequences of an evolutionary and atheistic worldview as seen in this display at the Creation & Earth History Museum

How has a belief in evolution shaped our collective thought processes?

It is no secret that an ideology treating the human race as though it were many competing evolutionary races, has had disastrous results in the past.

Abortion 10

Part of the Consequences of Evolutionary Thinking Display at the Creation & Earth History Museum

These are not only consequences of evolutionary thinking, but what precedes, follows or otherwise accompanies it; naturalistic, humanistic thinking. This thinking allows us to view people that look differently than we do as being in a different stage of evolution. Worse still, this thinking  allows us to distance ourselves from our unborn babies, to view their beginning as closely similar to how animal life begins. And at its core it is a view of the fetus as just a biological mass; to put it bluntly, merely chemicals. At our heart, humanity knows better. We know that we were made in His image.

Gestation 1

Gestation 2

Gestation 3

Gestation 4

It is the denial that humanity is made in the image of God that has had such disastrous results.

Abortion Display 2

The data presented here in the Consequences of Evolutionary Thinking Exhibit represents the 2005 Guttmacher information.

Those that hold a humanistic worldview cling to the notion that a human life does not begin at conception. There are various competing views as to when exactly it does. The Bible however tells us that God knew us before we were fully formed in the womb.
