Our Featured Artists for the month of May are Bill Marshall and Linda Herd. Their show runs from Tuesday, April 30 through Saturday, May 25, with a reception Friday, May 3 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. *Please note that the Downtown Albany Wine Walk also takes place that evening, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.*

The subject of plants, in a range of mediums and styles, is the
focus of my featured art for May. Paintings, drawings and
prints from formal botanical illustrations to impressionistic
landscape views, all coming from my local wanderings. Going on forest
hikes, fishing trips, or just walking around the neighborhood, I
feel so fortunate to live in an environment surrounded by the
flora of great beauty and variety.
From one of the great botanical print makers I admire:

to show the beauty and elegance of plant forms as an
expression of my admiration for the wonders of life on this

Also on exhibit will be some of my paintings in acrylic, gouache, casein, and
watercolor, and drawings in graphite, pen and ink, and ink
washes.
